Thanks Bill! Your input and continuing efforts are much appreciated. Perhaps you could direct me to a different thread to restate my question. It was evidently so basic that everyone else thought it was too trivial to respond to. Your answer, though helpful, was less than I need to make some critical choices. Basically what I want to know is: Are there financial risks in using a broker and if so what are they and what are the best methods of protection? Cheers, Jon
