Saying that Obama won't be responsible for giving Iran the nuke is like saying that Chamberlain wasn't responsible for allowing Hitler to invade Poland.

>While technically accurate, "Peace in our time" is widely regarded as one of the biggest failures of diplomacy in modern history.

His other choice was fight and lose. And Iran is not in any way comparable to Germany in the 1930s. As CJ has pointed out, Germany had built up quite the military after WWI, and Britain had not. As recently as the decade before, all of the Western powers had been basically military equals.

If the US ever REALLY needs to take on Iran, it has by FAR the biggest military in the world, and Iran would be no match. Iran is not, and never has been, a fraction of as powerful as the US.

Iran has had decades to make a bomb if it really wanted to. They're been pursuing nuclear energy since at least the 70s, with our help and encouragement.

I'm not going to say they don't rattle the sabers every now and then; they do. But do I lose one bit of sleep over it? No. I see no reason to. I'm happy Obama is trying to put this to bed.
