You do realize that the result of conception is just a single cell, right?
That single cell would fare no better on a razor blade than a skin cell. The key to raising that cell into an adult is the proper environment.

And clones are distinct. There are a lot of factors in the pregnancy and birth process that cause the identical DNA to result in separate and unique births.
