More importantly, TRY OUT the MONITOR your are interested in along with THE GRAPHICS CARD you plan to use - you may see a world of difference. As an example - I recently puchased a new Pentium MMX 200 MHZ PC and the Matrox Millenium II card was not available - so the supplier stuck in a cheap Diamond Stealth 2000 card for a loaner. My NEC MultiSync appeared a bit fuzzy with some ghosting with the Diamond loaner card. When the Matrox card finally arrived, PRESTO! Images are sharp, clear and crisp. Check out all four corners of your diplay for clarity and sharpness under the highest resolution you plan to use. Set up the diplay with the smallest fonts to gauge their readiblity. Compare the results to a Sony, NEC and Mitsubishi if at all possible - a good comparison may help ypu see things that are not always apparent without a frame of reference. Paul
