"if your goal all along was to give Iran more power and more clout in the Middle East to the detriment of its rivals, including the U.S. and Israel, then yeah, "sanctions worked." My goal is to avoid US involvement in another war. The best way for us to lose clout everywhere, not just the ME, is by becoming the rogue country that rejects the deal and goes it alone with these particular sanctions.
