Gee, I get the feeling I should stick up for CPQ, but just as soon as I do, someone with a G.E.D. is going to pound me with facts I can't argue simply because I am not, nor do I really wish to be, educated about the stock to argue every counterpoint. I try to keep things simple. If CPQ takes a dive, many other issues will also, even those who derive most if not all of their earning domestically. Then it is back to the defensive plays - drugs, foods, maybe discount retailers, (WMT killed during the 80's), anything which has a div. to protect against the downside, and of course bonds. Why raise interest rates in a slowing economy. Should have followed Warren Buffet's lead, but surely he is wrong sometimes. :(
Anyway, S.J. and I are stuck with it unless I can figure out a way to trade my way back up. My track record so far ain't to hot. Funny, it all started to go to pot the day I signed on to SI. I wish it was funny. |
