Don't worry about Trump. There are multiple lines of defense between him and the nomination.

At the last convention the party elite showed they are willing to change the rules on the fly to stop people and movements they don't like.

And if somehow he got by the elites they will rummage around and find something to indict him on.

Bush is their guy and Kasich is their back up if J.E. falls apart. One of those two will be the nominee.
