My Intel board from my 2012 has a visual BIOS [1]. I haven't had to open it since I initially built my machine in 2012 because it has performed flawlessly after the initial setup and tweaks.

The only issue that I've experienced with my entire build was with one my four front USB 3.0 ports on my ANTEC case, which I otherwise love. My wife and I have used ANTEC for years without problems, but one of my front ports on my 2012 build was bad. ANTEC offered to replace it for free, but it wasn't worth it for me to completely disassemble my new build for just one faulty USB port, so I have lived with the other three functional ports in the front and the six in the back, which was really never a problem.
