Of course not. No one is saying that currently GWB is popular. He obviously isn't and won't be until historians can review his accomplishments which were substantial.

For example, history will remember PEPFAR as Bush's greatest accomplishment, yet probably 99% of Americans don't know what it is. This is the difference between CNN and history.

As another example, the criticism of him on Katrina, which is totally unwarranted, is a product of TV news coverage and bogus historians (like Doug Brinkley, who wrote "The Great Deluge", which essentially blamed Bush for government failures that were those of his friends Blanco and Nagin). The failures in New Orleans were local, almost totally. But the average person doesn't understand that. (To this day, Tejek thinks that FEMA is a "first responder").

These things are sorted out over time. You and I won't be around to argue about it, but GWB will be seen in a very positive light when true historians sort it out and Fox News and CNN aren't counting the bodies in real time.
