Well..............I should have said "partly", but that too. I was sending the message that people were/are still frustrated at how our govt pols act, behave, treat them, ignore them. IOW they went into revolution mode and the whole thing morphed into different agendas depending on groups. Some adhered to the strict message of personal freedom, fiscal responsibility, and accountable govt. Some went in different directions depending on where their leaders took them. The people who volunteer to conduct meetings are instructed to make it clear to members that social issues are not to be discussed at formal meetings...........something I always made clear at every meeting I conducted. Some groups complied, and others didn't. That is what happens when the grass roots organize. I was heavily involved in the TPP (Tea Party Patriots) movement before I moved and still occasionally work in the back ground on issues.

the tea party was formed in response to the hank paulson bailouts in sept 2008,
