Democrats tend not to be bothered by it because the voting bloc is monolythic, comprised of thoughtless followers.

Democrats are anything but monolithic.. I often wish they operated in better unison.

But Republicans are fed up and are willing to consider alternatives....And Trump could say the wrong thing at any instant. Anything can happen.

LOL...worse than what he's said already? The Republican party is reaping the fruit of years of seeding nihilistic political cynicism by its politicians and punditry...the party may end up having to overrule a major segment of its constituency to nominate someone other than the buffoon leading the polls.
