The breakdown on the poll is interesting. It shows Bernie being able to beat Jeb and Trump if the election were to be held now. He essentially ties with Rubio(40% to 41%). Given that Bernie is almost certain to attract a lot of disaffected voters who usually don't vote, I suspect he could actually handily beat Rubio.

Trump seems to have no appeal to anyone but white, male Republicans. That could be enough to win the nomination. But he would get slaughtered in the general.

I have to reassess Bernie's chances now.


I know.....its a very fluid/entertaining situation. The thing with Trump......he keeps over reaching, and normally, that should be his undoing but as soon as someone slaps his hands, his base digs in deeper. The GOP is going to have a very hard time getting him out of the way.

And if Trump stays in the race, then the other side of the equation will probably change.

This is not at all how I expected things to play out.
