good morning:
gold is up and the dollar is up....ummmm
Goldman Sachs is bottom fishing for Japanese real estate..ummmm
Homestake's news...ummmm..getting more indicators that a reason
for being is becoming..so far I guess no buyers have wanted to come
in since the current has been down down...now with some supports
looming in the horizon..if the shorters could only get gold this low
with the support of the central bankers..wonder where the buyers
can take gold in no time flat..
most interesting was that French piece you posted...wonder how the
average Frenchperson on the street now is viewing the common currency looming on their horizon..they are getting a glimpse of what it might be like when their destiny will hinge on outsiders rather than on their own votes..wonder if they like it...wouldn't think so if currently their quality of life is better than most of the rest of the worlds or do I have that wrong..(a lot of that comment was based on a long discussion one afternoon with a French acquaintance)..wonder if we are going to start reading headlines about the French people backing out shortly of common currency attempt..that piece of news puts protectism into an antiquated mode..if outsiders buy the companies what benefits would protectism give..
gee if Goldman starts buying Japanese property..again that would
also hamper protectism?...or am I missing something..
(I was in Fiji in 1987 right after the coup...it seemed that the indigenous Fijians didn't mind the Indians running the businesses
but when the Indians started trying to own the land..the ballgame
was over...In Fiji there was a custom of saving face..if a relative
asked you for a possession in order to save face you had to give
it willingly(kiri kiri.)(actually pretty neat since it demoted materialism..)think that was one of the reasons Fijians didn't mind giving the Indians the business:>...don't think they have that system in France)
the bond is up..
