QUESTION ... just thinking ... is there any chance these ‘side bets’ may cancel out somehow, at least partially ... eg ... person A investing from Europe in USA paper in US dollars, bets against the US dollar going down at a particular point in time ... a person B from Europe or some other country, does a similar side bet but he thinks the US dollar will go up at a particular point in time ... so, they might partially or fully cancel ... I know, this is a stretch but have you heard of anyone investigating this aspect of derivatives??
