Paul; I do recall some of the last gasp 486's the ones at 120 Mhx being able to give a good run to the early Pentiums, however the Pentium soon moved ahead. Will the same state apply with AMD, Cyrix, etc where their latest pentium offerings are better than the low end Pentium II. It seem we do in fact have that situation. With AMD et al locked out of the slot 1 mechanism, they might just run a parallel course using newtech to beat the slot 1 questionable virtues.
