Thanks for spelling out that elaborate options strategy. I noticed that BMY and SWY, which have been staples, have dipped below their moving averages and both their Bollinger bands. They could pop right back up there, but it made me think that if I wanted to actually trade them this might be a good time to sell and buy back after a turn back up. Thing is they could move so fast that I'd miss the turn up and end up being out.

I also like the idea of selling and buying the equivalent number of calls. That leaves no protection on the downside, though.

Thanks for the provocative ideas. Who is the "we" who are holding BMY that you mentioned? Is that an investment group or you and your wife?
