Air pollution is not a yes/no, it is a matter of degree. Major cities, of course, have worse air than smaller ones, for the most part. But by comparison with places in many foreign countries, where you literally cannot take a photograph on some days, it isn't that bad. Now, I haven't lived in CA, which is some of the worst in the country. But I did live in D/FW for a number of years which has pretty dirty air. It wasn't that bad.


Health problems don't distinguish between countries. If the air is bad in the US but not quite as bad as Brazil, people in the US still get sick. Your faux moralizing to save your wallet is annoying and actually downright despicable. You are not a nice person.
