Regarding Microsoft Windows, I would like to see Microsoft turn the Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit code over to the open source community for development. It's really a very good and stable OS, and it would be worthwhile to see the various distributions (a la Linux distributions) that would take shape in the OS world.

I honestly don't mean to sound crass, but Windows 10 is terrible, and it should probably be dubbed Windows Stupid because of how much it has been dumbed down, stripped down, and turned into an OS that is far less configurable than Windows 7 or Windows XP. Yes, there are still workarounds available by editing the registry or using third-party add ins, but it begs the question, "Why?"

Microsoft, please turn Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit code over to the open source community to rescue and develop as a valuable piece of software, because Windows 10 is not very valuable or effective.
