Hi Everyone.....I'm getting past so much, and hope to come back full steam ahead one of these days soon....Thanks to each one of you who wrote, called, sent beautiful items, etc during the very hard last 3 + months, and the illness then passing of my husband Fred....We would have had our 55th Anniversary in August, but as we all know, we are married a year before we can even say one year...so I choose to think we were married 55 years, and 342 days.....A long time to be with a person. We are nearly ready to sell our home, and our 42' boat, plus 3 of the cars...LOTS of "stuff" was collected over all those years, but more than just "stuff" it was the memories that captured both of us...But, I will always have those memories, and so can get rid of many pieces of "stuff" that most of us accumulate over time.

One of our children said he should have really insisted we look at this several years ago...and that certainly would have been easier. BUT I got a bit incensed, and said: "OK, then what the heck is the point of working hard your entire lives, and not enjoying what you want to surround yourself with....what would you have us (or anyone) do.....? Be like Calvin Klein on steroids, and live with NOTHING you enjoyed over time? What is the point of that?"

But I've come down off my broom now, and just want to continue with my "new normal life." Some of you have already experience the passing of a mate, and it is hard, for sure! But both of us knew that while the body leaves, the soul does not....and I'm comfortable with that.....

Have missed being here, and will enjoy hearing from all of you again! Here comes Fall~~~~~
