I don't think that all the building PSINet is doing is in
preparation for a firesale of any sort. These guys, if they
have demonstrated nothing else, have shown that they don't
bow to pressure from analysts or anyone else. They have
demonstrated their steel to trade at 2x revenue and still
carry on with their business plan. They are in good financial
condition and can carry on, as is, for a good long while, especially
considering the rate of growth in foreign subsidiaries, and the
opportunities presented by the IXC bandwidth (both as an asset
on the books and in the field).

And as they continue their march toward earnings, the
shareprice will go up, and the analysts will all predict their
success as if they knew it all along. And, btw, I don't think
there is any other comparable industry for which earnings are
demanded in trade for passing up growth opportunity. Time and
tide waits for no internet company. :) These guys are making
the tough decisions and doing the growth thing and taking heat
from all sides for it. And if the shareprice were higher, all
other things being exactly the same, we wouldn't be having
this discussion.

Geeeeeezzz. PSIX is hardly rolling over and playing dead.
