How can you know the fetus has no soul?
Because a soul is self awareness, and a fetus has no more awareness than a fish.

Acually, I know from information theory that the consciousness does not survive the loss of the platform on which it resides (currently the human brain is the only such platform). However, theology has always taught (until recent cults) that is the consciousness that survives beyond the body, not the fish like simplicity of a unformed mind.
