Win 98 Update Shows Promise www5.zdnet.com Good News for Microsoft! Fred Moody let me down last night, but PC Week, apostate on the "OS/browser" legal front, likes it anyway. It has the department of justice hanging over it like a dark cloud and several features of debatable value, but Microsoft Corp.'s Windows 98 is nonetheless shaping up as a good upgrade. Well, there was always this confusion from Redmond about whether it was a big thing or not, but the 2 1/2 year old retail release needs replacement, lest all those customers that are getting what they want now get confused with all this OSR2/2.5 talk.
