RE: Channel re-check (Albany, NY)

To all (just using your post for access, Ben),

I returned to CompUSA in Albany this weekend. They were the
place jammed with all manner of Iomega products (except Zip
internals, of course) a week ago. This time, there were
still lots and lots of PP Zips around, but the Zip Plus
was completely sold out, and the Jazzes were 'way down,
both internal and external. If this one little datum is
indicative of the larger pattern, then I'd say that Zip
Plus and Jaz are the winners this holiday season. Those
knowledgeable enough to buy an aftermarket Zip in the
first place, apparently, know that the PP Zip is S-L-O-W
and are willing to spring for the pricier Zip Plus if they
need a PP Zip solution. At least that's my reading. FYI.

Cheers, Tom (long IOM)
