...Wrong. They moved to territory the US had seized from Mexico... That's just not true at all. Brigham Young arrived in Salt Lake Valley, which was part of Mexico, in 1847 on July 24th, which is still a holiday in Utah. And the Mormon Battalion seized NOTHING at all...not even their pay which had been stolen by Brigham Young. Utah is as bad as Kentucky when it comes to in-breeding btw.
