"This is all very simple: placate the masses with a good-looking unemployment rate (which
the gov't defines as it pleases).
Meanwhile, the number of truly unemployed goes up, but only the truly curious ever find out
about it, because the gov't decides how numbers are reported, and how the numbers are
defined. But behind the scenes the number of people dependent on gov't for almost all their
income continues to increase.
This is exactly what the lefties want, more and more people dependent on gov't for anything
they can get. These are the people that can be counted on to vote more and more lefties
into office. Just want the liberals want. And the more liberals there are with power, the more
gov't numbers will be further distorted and corrupted to suit their aims. And their aim is to get
all the people under direct control of the gov't.
When almost all the people, and their businesses, are under control of government, you have
this system called socialism. And every experiment in socialism has always led rather
quickly to collapse, no matter what name was given to it. Perhaps the biggest such experiment
was called communism, which collapsed as we all know. But the lefties still believe they can
make socialism work. They are slow learners. Any economic or political system that violates
natural law must surely fail. And they all have. You cannot fool Mother Nature. At least not
for very long..."
