They were when I worked for them in 1980 and they never did a thing for me.
And Walmart gives it's employees a 10% discount on everything except food items - not to mention all the benefits including health care and a 401K plan. There's a reason the employees tell the union reps to get lost and it's not for fear of losing their jobs. Just a few blocks away from Walmart we have a WinCo Foods - employee owned - the union thugs come around once in awhile - but they too understand they get a better deal without the unions.
