Late in 2014 the governor of Maine started requiring that food stamp recipients volunteer at least 6 hours a month. That is, do a little bit of work for a little bit of food. Like the rest of us.

Now, months later, instead of 12,000 people on food stamps, Maine has 2,680. That is, roughly 75% of food stamp recipients refused to work EVEN 6 hours a month for the handout.
