Hedge funds, WS banks, PE yes they employ people, but at the same time they buy companies with debt, downsize people and then resell the more lean machine, these entities care only for profit, not for people. No not everyone is smart enough to succeed in life as a wealthy person, but then again I've seen wealthy plumbers, government workers, garbage men etc.etc., as society needs all types of people not just wealthy ones.
