Unfortunately, I found this site and this thread after the demise of the Island quotes. But after being introduced to this thread, and the DATEK thread, I've been having great fun today working the system to see how my orders were being handled. On Friday I picked up 200 shares of lightly traded OLOG below $21. Today, the MMs have been keeping a pretty good spread on it, and three times I entered offers below the ask displayed by Datek. Each time, as fast as I could get a refreshed quote from Datek, my offer price had become the ask (cancelled two of them without problems). I finally sold at $21 3/4. I then caught the bid at $21 5/16, entered a bid at $21 3/8, and again was representated as fast as I could get a new quote. Datek was a bit slow at times, but it's sure nice to see an order being offered to the market as it should be. Besides that I made some money. I think I can do a lot of that when things are working right.

So thanks to Jeff et al. for helping make it possible for us to trade this way.
