I quoted him not as some authority, but because he destroyed the silly idea that Ford benefited because he paid his employees enough to buy his products. (As if it needed destroying. If it was important it would be pretty tough for Boeing).

Ford increased his wages for two reasons. 1 - By paying more than his competitors he could attract better employees and keep them. 2 - By paying a bonus for acting the way he wanted he could push his social agenda on to his employees.

As for your link, there is a lot there. What particular point are you trying to make from it, and how is it relevant to Ford's bonus to his employees, or the point that adding costs to employ people is ceritas paribus negative for employment and/or wages?
