I am fascinated that a guy who rants and raves against capitalism, anything republican or conservative, and wealthy people, in fact gambled his life savings away on a single penny stock under circumstances that he was pretty much guaranteed to fail from the start. He remains confident about his extreme views, and myriad conspiracy theories, including that the management of the penny stock conspired to rip him off... so obviously the hubris is still strong in him.

I cannot imagine that sort of comeuppance later in life, and the effect on his psyche seems apparent as most of his posts are teeming with anger and venom, and those are just the public posts! I'm also fascinated how people deal with that type of self-inflicted misfortune and his misfortune has revealed a nasty dreg of a person. I consider him to be a prime example of financial Darwinism and a cautionary tale. How one thinks is everything, especially when it comes to trading and investing. A guy like him should have never been in the stock market to begin with but it takes a special sort of fool to bet it all on a Canadian penny stock, drink the kool-aid, buy high and then ride it down into the gutter. And thus the fool and his money were parted. He would make good case studies for a never to do list of investing, and also a profile in psychological breakdown.
