The majority of studies (plus common sense and almost all economic theory and most economists*) show that high minimum wages and large increases in minimum wages, have a negative effect on employment.

That's not true.....and its not common sense. What's more common sense..........the more $$$ people have to spend the better the economy. The efforts of winger think tanks to make it look otherwise is only to protect their rich benefactors who support them. This is about corp profits and not what's best for people.
