An hilarious further development in the Chris Christie George Washington Bridge story. Turns out United Airlines, you may know this, put a specific plane route in place for the chairman of the Port Authority which has jurisdiction over the Newark Airport as well. That chairman was a Christie crony. The crony was David Sansom, who had a vacation home in Columbia, SC. So, in order to curry the chairman's favor and, hopefully, get a much better deal on United's rental fees at the airport, United created a Thursday flight from Newark to Columbia and a Monday flight back. And Sansom was never able to persuade the board about the deal.

Great story.
