Harvey-
Sprint is rolling out here in Connecticut, but they are having to fight to get their towers installed(crazy yankee gadflies ranting about spoiled views). As far as handsets all I see in the newspaper ads is Mot, Nokia, & Bell Atlantic. I'm new to this stuff so I dont know who is digital and who's not. Once about 6 months ago I remember seeing a short series of ads for Q.,but nothing recently. By the way I'm confused, I think. Tell me if the following are correct:
-CDMA is a technology-not owned by anyone in particular
-TDMA is older analog tech
-GSM is ?
-CDMAone is owned and liscenced by Quallcom
-WLL is ?
-Quallcom makes the best chips(ASICs) that run all digitalphones regardless who's name is on the phone
-Quallcom gets money every time a call is made using CDMAone?
-Quallcom gets money every time a digital phone is sold
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
k
