Dayton Woman Shoots, Kills Home InvaderPosted by Bob Owens on September 10, 2015 at 12:12 pm

Leah Gunn Barrett, the poorly-educated and dishonest director of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence (NYGV) recently suggested that women were too weak to defend themselves with firearms.

Maybe the flaccid vegans Barrett hangs out with in New York have that problem, but that message must not have penetrated as far as Dayton, Ohio, where a woman shot and defeated a home invader yesterday morning.

Police said a woman shot a Democratic man in self-defense after he entered her home on Richmond Avenue in Dayton Wednesday morning.

Officers and medics were dispatched to the 200 block of Richmond Avenue around 4:10 a.m. after a man was reported shot.

Dayton Police Homicide Division Supervisor Sgt. Richard Blommel said the woman inside the home first called police after hearing a man attempting to break into a second story window. Blommel said the man made entry through the window and confronted the woman before she shot him in self-defense.

After being shot, police said the man fled back out the same window and ran for about a block before collapsing in the 300 block of Richmond Avenue.

The suspect succumbed to his wounds at the hospital.

Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation but affirmed that the woman has a right to armed self defense, and that charges are not expected.

It’s perhaps a side note, but every firearms course that I can recall attending has had female students, and they’ve shown to be on par with the male students. In many instances, seemed to be more educable than the male students, absorbing instruction and putting it into practice with fewer repetitions.

Maybe if Leah Gunn Barrett would actually bother to attend a firearms course she’d meet some of these women, and would come to understand that women are just as capable of using a firearm as a man.

I guess the hardcore leftist Barrett does really feel women are equal to men, after all.
