Programmer battles Microsoft
news.com
Microsoft (MSFT) has aroused the anger of a North Dakota programmer, a David who has taken on the software Goliath because he believes he is being forced to promote its Internet Explorer Web browser.

Microsoft regularly distributes improvements to its Windows 95 operating system over the World Wide Web. Independent programmers use those improvements to make their software better, and distribute the updates with their products.

But Glaeske became unhappy when he discovered the updated software for Windows 95 was no longer distributed independently, but was now in Microsoft's Web browser.
