If whites were an underrepresented minority, such a group would make perfect sense. But much of our system is designed to protect minority rights; having a group whose purpose is to support the rights of 72% of the US population would make about as much sense as a Jewish caucus in the Israeli parliament. Majorities by their very nature tend to serve their own interests.
