The (R)'s are going to lose in every scenario, with or without Trump. Trump just makes it SO much more fun!

But even as Trump's support hovers around 30 percent of Republicans, remember that is 30 percent of roughly 40 percent of people who describe themselves as Republican, or about 12 percent of the general population. (Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina are touching that same anti-Washington nerve, but their base does in fact include a broader demographic.)
