"What's the advantage in replacing a dumb terminal with a dumb PC?
(i.e., an NC)". I'm not saying there isn't a place for them; I just think they will be slowly adopted.

David, I can think one market with a hugh need for NC's would be the educational market, particularly at the elementary, junior, and high school levels. I can imagine great interest in classrooms or on an entire campus of having a series of NC's hooked into one or more central servers. The lesson plans could be controlled centrally with very little overhead. Most importantly, the furture Rod's of the world would not be able to get their commands into the system that would crash the hard disks and trash the lesson plans.
