We're not serious about stopping nuclear proliferation, if we were, we'd still be drastically decreasing our nuclear arsenal and we wouldn't have let Israel develop them (and certainly wouldn't have let them keep them secret). This is about punishing a country we don't like, even though we not only had a serious hand in screwing them up, we decided (under a Republican administration) to arm them ourselves when it served our purposes.
