First rule of partisan politics: Accuse the other side of partisan politics. The Democrats are obstructionists because they won't lower taxes, reduce regulation, and get rid of Obamacare. To be fair a number of Republicans are obstructionist on those things as well to an extent. If opposing ideas you disagree with is going to be considered obstructionist, why should an opposition not be "obstructionist"?
