Paul and ALL, a reflection on Andy Grove. His story made me think about the blessings of health and family that I enjoy. I would rather be in my shoes than have 10% ownership of Intel or AMD -- and have prostate cancer and its side effects. The blessings of health, family relationships and knowing the creator of the universe, are much more important. I can truly empathize with Andy because my father-in-law suffered from the effects of over-radiation on his prostate cancer and then died of lung CA.
At this time of the year, don't forget to thank God for your blessings. If you can read your computer monitor, thank Him for it. If you have a home, thank Him for it. If you have a wife, or kids, or even a dog that love you, thank Him for them. A month ago, I was in Hermosillo, Mexico, at a free medical clinic, one of 10 that week, sponsored by my church. Men and women with excruciating toothaches for months, too poor to have a simple extraction, were treated and their pain was gone. Do you know how blessed you are?
The greatest blessing of all time was given 2000 years ago. If you've accepted it, you know what I'm talking about. If you don't, email me, or visit the nearest church that believes in the Bible and find out.
