I voted for Carter for lots of reasons, most of which turned out to be wrong. Most importantly, I didn't understand what I do today: most politicians, regardless of party affiliation, have good intentions. But intention simply isn't the measuring stick. I occasionally have voted for Democrats since but never a Democrat for president. Not saying it could never happen but given the ultra extremism of Democrats today I could easily live out my life without voting for another Democrat. I really felt like I was burned by Mark Pryor who I supported.
