I think candidates USED to run with good intentions, but I don't think that's the case anymore. Bernie probably has good intentions but there's no way he could win. Candidates have to SKEW their intentions now just to remain relevant. What really depressed me about this last debate was that MOST of the candidates seemed to accept that Global Warming was happening but they knew that the U.S. couldn't really solve the problem on its own so they didn't want to even imply that they would do anything to put the U.S. economy at risk. The BIGGEST thing going right now and NOBODY running for office even wants to talk about it...
