I work for a Fortune 100 company that has an IT staff of 800, many of whom are in the IT Security area of the company. I also have a company iPhone issued to me. There are about 300 employees that have them.

We had to sign a company agreement prior to receiving the iPhone 5. In the agreement as well as being told verbally, "under no circumstances were we supposed to activate iCloud because it is not secure."

Although I do a lot of IT related tasks with the company, just not security but I highly trust their take on things and have many times had emails (company wide email alerts) sent to me from them about certain phishing schemes or new virus distribution methods only to see them show up in the news months later. I trust their judgement without question.

I also use their warnings as a guide to how I do my personal laptop computing and how I use my personal iPad since I don't want to find out the hard way.

Thanks for all of the information that you and others post on the thread.
