ARE THEY MAKING TOO MUCH?
I have no idea how to measure or judge whether or not a company is making "too much". As a general rule I believe that companies should always be trying to maximize their profits.

I would be more interested in whether or not paying $500,000 USD to provide an additional year of life for someone is too much.
