religious convictions that have no basis in scientific fact IMO that's true of you too. Atheism isn't based in science either. why you make the climate change discussion a political one. There should be no politics in a scientific question. I think I'm reacting to others making it a political issue. Al Gore, Greenpeace, the IPCC, etc etc etc made it a political issue long before I'd formed my opinions. If you think climate shouldn't be a political issue, would you favor doing away with the IPCC, a patently political organization?
