The last time I was on jury duty, I observed a deputy I happened to know marching in several men one after the other in handcuffs to the judge (during voir dire). Later I found out they were deadbeats on their child support who'd been arrested during routine traffic stops.

I also know of women who pursue child support here. The only way to dodge it being garnished from paychecks in TX is to work off the books. The state keeps track of unpaid child support and seizes tax refunds also.
