Christians run almost all the homeless shelters and foodbanks in America. Including here where it's the Northwest Area Ministries ..... run by local churches. It's sure as heck not atheists who do this stuff. Further almost all churches have their own benevolence funds - but it's probably a good idea not to publicize that. I've heard our pastor say they've never been able to meet a need that presented itself since the church was founded. A couple months ago lightning struck the apartment complex a church member lived in and started a fire that destroyed all their household stuff ... the church reported the need on facebook and raised several thousand in a day. The wife of one of the posters here works in the local food bank where they live. So you're pretty ignorant on this subject.

After the Congressional address the members of Congress (the powerful people) wanted to have lunch with the Pope and what did he do?...He went to serve meals to the homeless in DC and to have lunch with them. Who in your type of religious world would have done that?
