Paul...the stock has been split for awhile....I think we need to get over the good old days of $108 and refer to them as the good old days of $54. By the way my mistake...it wasn't $12....it was $10 7/8 (based on pre-split $21.625)

Why are you looking at the percentage drop, I think the more improtant number is the PE ratio. If the earnings return to the same level of 1996...then it is possible for AMAT to go down towards the $12 mark....I doubt you will ever see that.

When you look at % you are assuming that $54 was a justified valuation...some will disagree.
